How To Teach Your Child To Tie Shoes In 5 Minutes [Updated POV video]

Teach your child to tie shoes

Teach Your Child To Tie Shoes

This is a follow-up video to the How To Teach A 6-Year Old To Tie Shoes In 5 Minutes post I did a while back. This turned out to be an extremely helpful technique for many of you which is awesome! It’s so cool to hear all the wonderful success stories you guys are having with your kids.

Several of you have commented on how much easier it would be to see this video from the point of view of the person tying the shoe so I created the video below for you. I hope it helps!

How To Tie Shoes Using The Magic Fingers Technique

*Note: Shoe tying technique starts at 1:07 if you want to fast forward.

P.S. That’s not my shoe by the way ;-) I thought the bright pink laces might be easier to see.

Was this video helpful?

Is it a little easier to see exactly where to place your fingers?

Please pass this on to those who also might benefit from it.

You are a shoe-tying genius! Thank you very much. I have two children with special needs and I teach kindergarten. I will be sharing this will all my families and with my own two boys. Bless you!

Thank you so much for showing it from this perspective AND for slowing it down. I can’t wait to teach my son this afternoon! No more tears or frustration (I hope).

Thanks for the POV. I tried it from looking at the other magic fingers videos but just couldn’t quite figure out what exactly they were doing. This video made it much easier. May I recommend adding the actual shoe tying part on a loop to replay 2-3 more times at the end? My son is trying the bunny ears thing and is getting frustrated so now that I can do this version, I’ll try to teach him!

  • This desibn is wicked! You definitely know how to keep a
reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was alost moved to start
my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Wonderful job.
I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it.
    Too cool!

  • I think everything published made a great deal of sense.
However, think on this, what if you composed a catchier post title?
I am not saying your information isn’t good., however what if you added a title to possibly grab folk’s attention? I mean How To Teach Your Child To Tie Shoes
In 5 Minutes [Updated POV video] | Efficient Life Skills is kinda boring.
You could peek at Yahoo’s front page and see how they create news
headlines to grab people to open the links.
You might add a related video or a picture or two to grab readers interested about everything’ve written. In my opinion, it might bring your blog
    a little bit more interesting.
